Field of intervention: interior design

“The Oakridge Centre renewal project came into being as a multicultural experiment, the construction of a future in which living spaces, both individual and shared, are born of the intertwining of different languages, the languages of those who designed them and those who will live there.” - Piero Lissoni

The Oakridge redevelopment project includes nine residential towers, a cultural institution and performance venue, a new library and an extensive public park atop an existing commercial centre. With 42 floors and 305 residential units, Building Four is the largest residential tower within the Oakridge complex. Lissoni’s design approach for the lobby, the building amenities, the rooftop garden and all the residential units was wholly informed by the proximity and connection to the majestic beauty and singular topography of the Pacific Northwest. Bathed in natural light, the Italian finishes and furniture matched with local timber and delicate materials provide exquisite comfort without distracting from the stunning views enjoyed by each of the units.
